Professional Kitchen Makeovers

Kitchen #1:

This kitchen is a beautiful example of how much painting really nice cabinets can brighten and completely transform a space.

The main kitchen cabinets are painted in DBP color Sawmill Gravy with gray Best Dang Wax accenting all the edges. The island is also painted in DBP in the color French Linen and accents were done in a custom coordinated color.

Kitchen #2:

This kitchen is such a beautiful transformation, it went from dark and dated to light and bright. This kitchen is painted in DBP Drop Cloth and heavily glazed with Van Dyke Brown glaze. Part of the beautiful transformation is the z-brick backsplash painted in the same DBP color as the cabinets and the additional cabinetry  custom designed and painted to match by the client’s daughter. The hardware was originally located in the middle of the door’s frame. I filled the old holes and changed them out to a traditional position and replaced them with new handles and pulls to match their new oiled bronze fixtures.

Kitchen #3:

This kitchen is probably the oldest kitchen to date that I have made over. It is nearly 50 years old. It required drawer repairs and an entire new valance created to bring it up to date. It is painted in DBP Drop Cloth and aged with Van Dyke Brown Glaze.  The hardware got a good cleaning with White Lightning and Sprayed with Rustoleum Metallic Bronze paint.

Kitchen #4:

This kitchen started with me making over the dining room set.  She loved it so much she had me paint the kitchen cabinets to match as well as upgrade the island and add a bank of cabinets to create a buffet for more storage. All the cabinets are painted with DBP in Drop Cloth and the edges are distressed to reveal the golden oak beneath the paint. The hardware was upgraded to a sparkly knob to reflect all the beautiful light in the kitchen.

Kitchen #5:

This beautiful Kitchen is painted in DBP Fluff White and has had the edges lightly distressed to accent their look while revealing a bit of the cabinets former life. The original hardware was reused to keep the look clean and classic.
